Fishing Boat Trip

On the second Sunday of my trip to Lobitos, I decided to seize the opportunity and sign up for the fishing boat trip. Looking back, I'm so grateful I didn't hesitate to join in. The adventure began early in the morning as we gathered at the pier, ready for a day out on the water.

Splitting into two groups, we boarded the boats and set off into the open sea. The journey out was a bit rocky, and I'll admit, it left my stomach feeling a bit uneasy. But once we reached our fishing spot and settled in, any discomfort quickly faded away. The workers onboard wasted no time in getting us set up with our fishing gear and bait. As I threw my line into the water, anticipation bubbled within me. And soon enough, the thrill of the catch took over as I managed to catch six! One of them was particularly impressive in size, making the experience even more exhilarating. After our successful fishing session, we were treated to a taste of our fresh catch - ceviche. This traditional Peruvian dish, made from raw fish marinated in lime juice and mixed with plantain and onions, tasted amazing.

To top off the day, we indulged in a refreshing dip and swim in the sea, which not only helped alleviate any lingering sea sickness but also added to the overall enjoyment of the trip. Without a doubt, the fishing boat trip was one of the highlights of my expedition to Lobitos as of now.
