Fundraising

In one of our lectures, we discussed fundraising ideas, listing them from A-Z. This was so helpful in helping gain ideas on how to raise money for the expedition. I also gained inspiration from various other charity ideas through their websites. From bake sales and community events to crowdfunding campaigns and corporate sponsorships, exploring diverse fundraising avenues has been enlightening. It's incredible how creative initiatives can rally support and resources for causes we deeply care about, like the vital work we're doing with EcoSwell.

My main fundraiser idea was running 50K throughout January. This activity posed a significant challenge to me as I am not a confident runner. Despite the hurdles and doubts, I persevered, driven by my determination to achieve my goal and make the trip possible. Each step I took became symbolic of my commitment and resilience, pushing me beyond my comfort zone and reaffirming my dedication to the cause. Through the support of friends, family, and the community, I not only exceeded my fundraising target but also discovered newfound strength and confidence within myself. This experience taught me the value of setting ambitious goals and pushing boundaries, empowering me to overcome obstacles and realise my aspirations.
